Previously worked on H-1B visa for six years. Left US when visa expired.
Then worked in Canada for 6 years.
Currently on TN-1 Visa with 13 years of IT Program Management and IT Project Management, IT Governance and IT Audit experience.
Looking for a company willing and able to apply for Labor Certification in this short duration, so I can apply for I-140 and I-485 before August 17th.

Going by the trend, you have to make sure that the application reaches USCIS by April 2nd. April 1st is a holiday.

Hi,
My brother is in Toronto, Canada for a conference. He has an H1B extension which is not stamped. At the US airport before boarding the toronto flight they took his old expired I-94 (from previous H1B). He currently has his I-797 (H1B) petition that has the I-94 at the end.
1) Can he use that I-94 to enter the US (his new H1B extension is not stamped). His stay is only for 4 days in Toronto.
2) If not then what are his other options (except for H1B stamping as there are no dates in toronto)
Would appreciate any advice as soon as possible.

Offcourse they have entered A# time of the finger print I even gave them my EAD card along with ID which has my A# on it and entered it from there. A# is also on FP form which you have to fill out if you have A#. Hope that helps.

Hi,
I am a resident of the Chennai Consular District and I made an emergency appointment (returning US worker-H visa) for my H-1 renewal visa at New Delhi through the vfs website. I was not able to find any appointments at the Chennai consulate. I happened to know today through the New Delhi Embassy website that their emergency appointments are reserved only for residents of the New Delhi Consular District. I'm confused as to how/why the vfs website allowed me to make an appointment without providing this information. I am now unable to find any regular appointments available at New Delhi or emergency appointments at Chennai.
Also, the vfs website has a news update from Dec.4th stating that anyone (fluent in english) can now apply at New Delhi, Chennai or Mumbai. I do not know if this precludes the emergency appointment requirement at New Delhi as stated above or if this is a more up to date info.
If anyone here has any information/experience about this, I would appreciate a response.

The I-131 instructions does provide only the P.O. Box address. I believe FedEx doesn't deliver to P.O. box address.

When it comes to the community organizing and support activities for the comprehensive immigration reform legislation, there are hundreds of organizations that organize, network, and mobilize the immigrants in support of the issues involving the difficult issues of legalization of illegal aliens. However, the same is not true with the employment-based immigration reform issues. The lobbying and organizing and support of these issues rely heavily on the employers, businesses, and academic institutions such as competeamerica. Without doubt, the employers should be the most effective and powerful groups to pressure the Congress, President, and other players in the political process.
However, it is time that the immigrants themselves also participate in a similar effort to share information, issues, and supporting activities. Obviously, the first move is to organize and build a network throuhout the nation and the world, and along with the networking, other support activities must be conducted and expanded. There are not too many immigrant groups that are focused on the employment-based immigration reform issues. Currently, a website of www.immigrationvoice.org is launching this campaign and attempting to organize and network in the employment-based immigrant communities. This reporter urges the foreign professional workers to visit and join this group to help an activities of side-kick from the standpoint of stakeholder foreign workers in support of the employers and their support groups. "Networking" will create a power in the political process.

Iam on L2 and working on my EAD which is expiring on april 29 th 2011.
I have applied for H1 in the 2010 quota but due to my employers mistake i got a rejection on that.
we are trying to reappeal to USCIS but iam not sure if its going to work.
Suppose i have a project and apply again for 2011 quota , can i still continue working even if my EAD expires.
They say that we actually move to H1 on October , so if i apply before end of April through premium processing and get an approval notice before October can i continue working or start work right away or do i have to wait till October.
Is there a possibility to start working immediately as soon as my H1 gets approved or do we have to wait until October in any case.
